Our history is full of resilience and evolution. From our humble beginnings, with around 200 settlers in the early 1800s to our current population of over 15,000 people, our communities have flourished and grown.
From the county’s early days, residents have built their lives here, leaving a legacy in the auto and electrical industries, as well as a thriving poultry sector. Today, our county thrives as a hub for healthcare, manufacturing, retail, and agriculture.
We take pride in the fact that Wayne County is a popular destination for many due to its exceptional schools, abundant parks, and high level of safety.
