FOIA INFORMATION

Welcome to the Wayne County FOIA Officer’s page—your official resource for accessing public records and promoting transparency in local government. The Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) ensures that citizens have the right to request and receive public records, and our FOIA Officer is committed to providing timely and accurate responses in accordance with Illinois law.

How to Submit a FOIA Request:

All FOIA requests must be submitted in writing. You may deliver your request in person, by mail, email, or fax. Requests should be as specific as possible to help expedite processing.
